How Points are Awarded

For example predict 3-0 and the result is 3-0 award 10 points
This includes the penalties in the knockout stage if applicable (see below)
For example predict 2-2 and the result is 1-1 award 4 points
For example predict 1-0 and the result is 2-0 award 6 points
This includes the penalties in the knockout stage if applicable

Points above are not cumulative, for example predict 2-2 and the result is 2-2, you gain 10 points, NOT 14 points

How does the scoring system work for the knockout stages ?
At the knockout stage if a user predicts a win e.g. 3-2 they get either the exact points if the result is 3-2 or the win points if the result is 1-0

Penalties are included in either of the above, so if a user predicts 1(5)-1(4), and result is 1(5)-1(4) then exact points, if the result is 2(5)-2(4) it’s a correctly predicted win, however if the result is 1(4)-(1)5 they get points for the goal draw. It’s a reward for getting it ‘half-right’.

The bonus points for correct goals and goal difference ignore penalties.

There is nothing for extra time or golden goals as such.

Bonus points

For example predict 3-0 and the result is 3-1 award extra 1 points
For example predict 5-3 and the result is 3-1 award extra 0 points

Can you clarify the scoring for the knock-out stages please? Have I got the following right?

The predictions we are making are effectively the predictions for 90 mins. So if I say 2-2, and it’s 2-2 after 90 mins, I get the points regardless of the score after 120mins?

    1. Looked over this now – the score you put in is the one for end of normal play. So for a 2-2 bid
After 90 or 120 minutes score is 4-3 then you get 0 points
If score is 2-2 after 90 minutes and ends up 4-3 after 120 minutes you get 0 points .
If at 120 minutes it’s 2-2 you get points for 2-2. Then your penalty prediction is counted.

It’s not always clear to me either!
